Horse & Wagon Town Tours

Gain a unique perspective on the township of Winton from the padded seats of a 100 year old fully restored Landau carriage, drawn by two horses.

The tour lasts around 40 minutes and includes commentary about the Winton township and surrounds, provides historical information and highlights attractions that you may wish to visit whilst in Winton.  We also talk about some of the characters who have contributed to Winton.

The tour departs from the Waltzing Matilda Centre on most mornings and some afternoons (except Sunday).

Stockyard Beer Garden / Shows

The Stockyard Beer Garden provides two different shows.  The lunchtime show is about the history of the Australian sheep dog including lunch.

In the evening there is a live sheep show including a two course meal with campfire cooking.

livestock. See our resident working dogs enthusiastically
round up sheep during the 20-minute demonstration.

Airport Transfers

A pick up service from the Winton airport into the Winton township for travellers staying at the Australian Hotel Winton. 

Transport between Winton and Longreach may also be available.
